Gender Advisor

The Gender Advisor will assume a leadership function in designing, operationalizing and embedding gender and women’s economic empowerment strategies within supply chains that reflect both individual market and country contexts. The Gender Advisor will lead assessments of country-level WEE and supply chain contexts, conduct barrier analyses, and co-design programs and initiatives that address constraints for full participation of women in productive activities and supply chains. They will work to ensure that initiatives and partnerships address the unique needs of women and girls, with country context and do no harm principles guiding the approach. The Gender Advisor will be an integral member of program and partnership teams responsible for design, strategy development, and implementation ensuring activities incorporate WEE best practices, to the extent feasible. They will have the opportunity to lead teams (including local teams and consultants) and will provide expert advice and facilitation across USG and/or corporate clients. This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Inclusive Markets. Ability to travel 30-40% internationally on short notice required.
