Communications Assistant, Catalyst Project
Resonance is seeking candidates to join our dynamic team in the role of Communications Assistant on our USAID-funded Catalyst project. Resonance supports the USAID Global Development Lab’s Development Innovation Ventures (www.usaid.gov/div) and Grand Challenges and Prizes (www.usaid.gov/grandchallenges) initiatives through the implementation of the Catalyst project. The Catalyst project is a five-year, $24 million buy-in mechanism that provides institutional support and technical assistance in the design and implementation of innovation and challenge programs. The Communications Assistant will provide critical project implementation support and play a vital role in our communications efforts on the project, including writing, editing, creating presentations. S/he will contribute to data visualization, social media, report writing, and provide general administrative support to the project team. This is a full-time position based in Washington, DC, reporting to the Catalyst Communications Advisor.
Vice President, Corporate Sustainability Services
At present, the majority of Resonance revenue is from donor agency clients – USAID, State Department, MCC, Australia’s DFAT and others. In line with our five-year vision, we are growing out a client base among leading companies, foundations, NGOs, and impact investors. Our goal is for Resonance to emerge as a market leader in the design and execution of action-based strategies. In line with this vision, we are seeking a proven Vice President to lead the development and growth of our commercial services practice. As a key member of the Resonance Executive Team, the Vice President will be expected to lead the development and execution of the company’s commercial services strategy, targeting corporate, foundation, investor, and non-profit clients.
Project Assistant, PEPSE
Resonance is seeking candidates to join our dynamic team in the role of Project Assistant on our USAID-funded Promoting Excellence in Private Sector Engagement (PEPSE) project. The Project Assistant will provide critical implementation support and play a vital role in assisting the project with event planning, coordinating trainings, and carrying out administrative tasks. This is a full-time position based in Washington, DC, reporting to the PEPSE Chief of Party.
Knowledge Management Lead, PEPSE
Resonance is seeking candidates for the role of Knowledge Management Lead on our USAID-funded Promoting Excellence in Private Sector Engagement (PEPSE) project. The Knowledge Management Lead will oversee and implement knowledge management and development of community of practice learning activities that unite and support PEPSE core task areas, and will liaise with the client (USAID Global Development Lab’s Center for Transformational Partnerships to build and implement the team’s overall knowledge strategy. S/he will work closely with the Chief of Party, as well as with the technical and communications lead staff members, to ensure continuous improvement and expansion of knowledge management activities and community of practice content development across the project. This is a full-time position based in Washington, DC, reporting to the PEPSE Chief of Party.
Senior Associate, Impact Investing
The Senior Associate will play a key role on the Impact Investing team, while also serving across Resonance’s practice areas as a technical resource on topics such as investment opportunity identification & evaluation, capital raising advisory services, and investment strategy development such as structuring result-based financing mechanisms. S/he will play a critical technical role in providing expert advice on mobilizing investment and private capital for development objectives on behalf of Resonance clients (donor agencies, corporations, and non-profits around the world). S/he must be able to work seamlessly across cultures and sectors to identify, develop, and facilitate innovative financing strategies to achieve client objectives in international development. In addition, The Senior Associate will also help drive company growth through business development focused primarily on the private sector, non-profits and foundation clients. S/he will serve as a thought leader, both within the company and through public speaking engagements & writings, developing internal methodologies, and conceptualizing & implementing innovation opportunities. This is a full-time position based in Washington, DC, reporting to the Senior Advisor, Impact Investing.
Senior Manager, Inclusive Markets
The Senior Manager will join Resonance’s Inclusive Markets practice, which designs partnerships, manages projects, and carries out research and analysis to solve pressing private sector development issues. Our work spans numerous economic development sectors including: agriculture, competitiveness, innovation, and trade, with an overarching focus on Private Sector Engagement (PSE). The Senior Manager will play a critical technical and project management role on the team, facilitating cross-sectoral partnerships on behalf of Resonance clients, managing prime and subcontracts in the agriculture and competitiveness sectors, and leading business development efforts in these areas.This is a full-time position based in Washington, DC, with frequent travel to developing countries to support project implementation activities.
Supply Chain & Partnership Coordinator, USAID Fish Right Project (Philippines)
The USAID Fish Right Program is a partnership between the Governments of the United States and the Philippines to promote sustainable fisheries. This US$ 25 million project aims to address biodiversity threats, improve marine ecosystem governance, and increase fish biomass in selected marine key biodiversity areas (MKBAs) in the Philippines. Building on the gains of previous USAID-supported coastal, marine and biodiversity conservation projects that introduced an ecosystem approach to fisheries management (EAFM), Fish Right will promote the sustainable use of critical coastal and marine resources, enhance the resilience of these resources and capacitate key actors on sustainable fisheries management. The Program will give special attention to “wild” or capture fisheries and the communities that depend on them.Fish Right will be implemented over a period of five years (2018-2023) by the University of Rhode Island in collaboration with a consortium of implementing partners, including Resonance. Fish Right will focus its implementation in three program sites: the Visayan Sea, the Calamianes Island Group, and South Negros. At the end of five years, Fish Right’s goals across the three program sites are 1) to achieve at least a 10% increase in fish biomass and 2) to reduce threats to marine biodiversity. To achieve this goal, Resonance will enhance partnerships and research support for coastal and marine biodiversity conservation and resilient fisheries management.
Manager, Partnership Services
Resonance is seeking a thoughtful, creative and entrepreneurial Manager to put Resonance at the forefront of cross-sector collaboration, putting cutting-edge thinking and insight into practice. The Manager will be responsible for end-to-end product management of the Partnership Journey©, including product design, tools, methodologies, marketing, staff/client training and knowledge management. Since 2005, Resonance has been a pioneer in designing, facilitating, brokering and managing high-impact cross-sector partnerships among companies, donors and NGOs. In 2017, Resonance began consolidating all of its knowledge and experience in partnerships into a new product, the Partnership Journey©. The Manager is expected to be 40% billable to partnership-focused client engagements, providing the Manager with a first-hand understanding of client needs and challenges. The Manager will also play a key role in developing Resonance thought leadership through speaking engagements, partnerships with relevant academic institutions, blogging, and authoring articles for publication. Innovation Portfolio Specialist, USAID Catalyst Project (Consultant)

These are interim, possibly part-time positions. Washington, DC location is preferred but telework from other locations is feasible. Consultants must be ready to apply their analytical and problem-solving skills to some of our planet’s greatest challenges in an entrepreneurial, fun, and fast-paced environment. Consultants will help due diligence innovators and serve as an important strategic advisor for a portfolio of organizations that receive grant awards. They will also help analyze DIV’s past portfolio and the practices of peer funds and suggest process improvements. Business Development Consultant - Donor Opportunity Tracking
Resonance is in the process of developing a new tool to better track, manage and curate emerging procurements and solicitations among a number of US and international donors. As a part of this process, we are looking for a tech savvy business development consultant to map various donor databases and develop a dashboard where donor opportunities can be tracked and curated for various business units. The goal of this consultancy is to move quickly and efficiently to develop a minimum viable product (MVP) and get it in front of users quickly – by the end of February 2019. The tool will be further refined and tailored based on user feedback – a process that may lead to subsequent engagements with the consultant.
Manager, Business Development
The Manager, Business Development will provide critical business development and proposal management support across business units. S/he will support support technical teams in identifying, prioritizing, and pursuing business development opportunities, focused on donor partners, including USAID, State Department, DFID, DFAT and others. The Business Development Manager will serve as a hub for Resonance’s Business Development needs across practices, coordinating pipeline development, managing proposals, monitoring proposal progress, and providing strategic analysis of Business Development efforts. This is a full-time position based in Washington, DC, or Burlington, VT, reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Development. Manager, Inclusive Markets
Resonance is seeking candidates for the role of Manager to join our growing Inclusive Markets team. The Manager will be responsible for providing technical, project, and task management support to a portfolio of programs focused on partnerships, private sector engagement (PSE), innovation, competitiveness, workforce development, and enterprise development across a variety of sectors.
