Anne Szender McCarthy is an experienced Chief of Party and project manager for economic growth activities specializing in trade and investment, private sector development, regulatory reform, and blended finance. She currently serves as the Director of Economic Growth and COP of the Digital Economy and Market Development Activity with Resonance. Previous roles include Project Director of the Alliance for eTrade Development II (a Global Development Alliance with 11 private sector partners) and as Deputy Project Director for the $250M CATALYZE blended finance project.
Anne has extensive experience managing a range of contract types for USAID and private foundations, including both bilateral and global programs. Her technical experience includes conducting quantitative and qualitative research, statistical, financial and economic analysis, and database management. She has contributed to reports on a variety of economic development issues such as economic growth, trade policy, municipal finance, and housing markets.
Anne has an M.A. in International Relations and International Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and a B.A. in Economics from Colby College.
