Technology often isn’t the limiting factor preventing digital health from flourishing in emerging markets. Often what patients and countries need are foundational elements to create an enabling environment and ecosystem for digital health to flourish. This includes regulation, internet access, data standards, and other foundational elements to strengthen digital health.
Microsoft, the Novartis Foundation, Rwanda’s Ministry of Health, and the Global Fund have been catalysts for convening the right partners – including each other – to address these challenges. They each have been exemplars of how to cultivate groundbreaking digital health innovation through collaboration. They will share lessons learned and opportunities for the future to design and catalyze ecosystems for health access.
