The Center for Faith and Opportunity Initiatives
The Center for Faith and Opportunity Initiatives (CFOI) liaises with faith-based and community-based stakeholders to achieve USAID’s priority goals and is critical to the success of USAID’s mission. CFOI convenes faith-based and community-based groups to catalyze new opportunities for collaboration between these groups, and between these groups and the government.They also help to eliminate barriers encountered by faith-based and community organizations seeking to partner with USAID on a range of global development issues including global health, child survival, and food security.
The Catalyst Project
The Catalyst Project is a five-year (two base years, three option years), $24 million contract. The Catalyst Project is a flexible buy-in mechanism that provides institutional support and technical assistance in the design and implementation of specific innovation and challenge programs. The Catalyst Project provides support in the following four workstreams:
- Sourcing and due diligence services of Challenge fund applicants;
- Technical assistance and acceleration support to Challenge program grantees;
- Partner facilitation, communications and engagement, and program design support; and
- Evidence, Learning and Impact measurement of innovator and program level progress.
